Raekwon the Chef sold 101,000 copies of Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Pt. II so far (and this number doesn't include the number of iTunes purchases that were made because Soundscan is a piece of shit out-dated system). This is pretty impressive considering the state of the hip-hop industry right now. Between everybody illegally downloading music every day and teenage girls driving the industry to create bullshit music, Raekwon has really beat the odds here. Not to mention he sold these copies independently through his own label. I think Rae's gonna be doing just fine this year monetarily because he's making more money in profit per CD sold than most rappers and he is selling out huge crowds on his European tour right now. I'm glad this album has been a success for Rae. He put in over four long years of hard work to make this happen and he didn't sell out for one second.
