J. Cole, in my mind, is on the very SHORT list of skillful new emcees in the game right now. I haven't heard a bad verse from this kid from Fayetteville, NC. His "The Warm Up" mixtape/album made my list of Top 9 Albums of 2009 last year and he recently signed to Jay-Z's new Roc Nation label. He's the first rapper to sign to Jay's new label and I just hope he doesn't fuck his first real album up.

Last week, 2DopeBoyz.com posted an unreleased track from J. Cole titled "Playground" which is produced by Elite. According to them, this track was cut from "The Warm Up."
