J. Cole is the first artist to be signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation label. This kid, simply, is nice. His flow, content, delivery, and charisma are all on point. I'm a big fan right now. My supplier Khamal put me on this kid before he even got signed by Jay-Z, and I was fired up because he writes his own shit and produces a lot of his own shit. He was born in Germany, but moved to Fayetteville, NC when he was 1. J. Cole graduated from St. John's University Magna Cum Laude and it shows in his lyrical ability. He definitely ain't an ignorant emcee.
